Coronavirus continues to challenge how we’re all living our lives right now, not least as we adjust to a further national lockdown to help get the pandemic under control.
Throughout it all, Post Office has been there for communities across the UK. An essential service our postmasters and support teams have worked tirelessly to keep open and trading in over 90% of our network locations.
I want to say thank you to them for their energy and resilience since March. And to you, our customers, for continuing to use our services and abiding by social distancing rules.
Recent news of vaccine rollouts gives us increased hope for the months ahead. But I’d ask you to keep up the resolve for now, wearing a mask and staying two metres apart in our branches. And please treat our colleagues with respect as they provide the services you need in these difficult times.
While we’re working hard to keep products and services available, some may be impacted by changing retractions. Our support pages have more on the impact on specific products.
Our branches remain busy with customers relying on us to stay connected with loved ones and keep their businesses trading. Our advice is to check our branch finder to see branch opening times before you visit, and try come in at quieter times. 4,000 of our branches are open 7 days a week and our call centres are also staffed and ready to help.
As we continue to support our Postmasters and our customers, please keep looking out for one another, follow the health and safety guidance and stay well. We’re stronger together.
Nick Read, Chief Executive of the Post Office
